SPX ELC is an ethylene glycol based NOAT for heavy duty cooling system applications that require nitrite. SPX ELC is free of 2-EH (2-ethylhexanoic acid), phosphates, silicates, and amines. This product contains nitrites for additional cylinder liner protection. SPX ELC is recommended for use in on-road, off-road, and stationary engine applications. This product can also be used in mixed fleet applications where heavy duty, light duty, and automotive applications are present. Routine visual inspections, coolant top-off and annual laboratory testing are recommended to ensure maximum service life.
Advantages
· Eliminates the cost of using SCAs (supplemental coolant additives)
· Improves heat transfer compared to conventional/traditional coolants requiring SCAs
· Effective corrosion protection of common cooling system metals including aluminum
· Compatible with most major brands of extended life Organic Acid Technology type antifreeze/coolants; recommend not diluting by more than 25% to maintain extended life performance
· Can be used in engines using variable fuel types and variable emission control types; check with OEM for specific application requirements
Applications
• Heavy duty engines regardless of fuel type or environmental controls being used where the OEM recommends a silicate free, extended life coolant that contains nitrites1
• Mixed fleets where both heavy duty and light duty trucks are present
• On-road, off-road, or stationary engines
1Some OEMs recommend the use of nitrite free coolants. Check with your OEM.
SPX Nitrite Free ELC is a heavy duty ethylene glycol based OAT containing an organic acid technology inhibitor. SPX Nitrite Free ELC is free of nitrites, amines, silicates, borates, and phosphates. This product does not require supplemental coolant additive (SCA) for heavy-duty fleet maintenance programs, but still provides wet sleeve cylinder liner cavitation protection. SPX Nitrite Free ELC is recommended for use in mixed fleet applications where heavy duty, light duty, and automotive applications are present. Routine visual inspections, coolant top-off and annual laboratory testing are recommended to ensure maximum service life.

SPX Universal Coolant is a heavy duty ethylene glycol based fully formulated coolant. SPX Universal Coolant is a low silicate and phosphate free formulation. This product is pre-charged with Supplemental Coolant Additives (SCAs) and therefore does not require SCAs at the initial fill. SPX Universal Coolant is recommended for use in on-road, off-road, and stationary engine applications.
Advantages
· Designed to last the life of the engine when proper SCA maintenance is used
· Effective corrosion protection of common cooling system metals
· Phosphate free to reduce scale build up and residue
· Nitrite added to provide wet sleeve liner protection against cavitation
· Can be used in engines with variable fuel types and variable emission control systems
· Available in both GREEN & PINK dyed color options
Applications
• Heavy duty engines regardless of fuel type or environmental controls being used; always consult with OEM requirements1
• Mixed fleets where both heavy duty and light duty engines are present
• On-road, off-road, or stationary engines
